ESTABLISHED IN 1987, OXTED IS A FAMILY-RUN COMPANY BASED IN WINDY WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND.

Oxted began as things often do with. In 1987 Lucia and her mother Mary were dissatisfied with the lacklustre greeting cards available in New Zealand. Lucia travelled to England to find a better alternative. Her enthusiasm for beautiful stationery won over international suppliers and new Kiwi customers alike.

In 2014 Christopher and Tamara joined the business, bringing two decades of experience working with luxury brands in London and a shared belief that New Zealand deserved world-class design.

Today Oxted has a new chapter. The business is now in the hands of Murray Burgess and Kim Thwaites, who share the same passion for beautiful products and exceptional service that has always defined the company. Christopher, Tamara and the wider Oxted team remain committed to their suppliers’ products.

From our fulfilment warehouse by the sea, we continue to champion the finest design-led gifts and cards from around the world, alongside our own highly successful NZ Artist range, which supports emerging and established artists from Whangarei to Invercargill.
